There are several Potentilla species in Indiana, but only three found in my neck of the woods – simplex, norvegica, and recta.

Sulphur Cinquefoil is plant about a half meter tall with pale yellow flowers.  The leaves have 5-7 lance-shaped leaflets which are coarsely toothed.
